American Builders, Inc. was established in 1991 by Max Freeman and Roy Bell. Max is a 1968 graduate of Missouri State University. He has been a businessman in the Twin Lakes area since 1975. Roy is a 1978 graduate of Flippin High School in neighboring Marion County. He got his start in the construction industry in 1982. Max is also a leader in the home building industry, in Mountain Home, the region, and at the state level. Locally, he has served three terms as president of the Twin Lakes Home Builders Assoc., initiating the Parade of Homes in the Mountain Home area, and is involved with the TLHB Home Show which raises funds for local college scholarships as a community service project. Since 2002, Max has been Executive Vice President of Northwest Arkansas for the Arkansas Home Builders Assoc. and a member of the state organization's Executive Committee. Max just began a term as secretary/treasurer of the Arkansas Home Builders Assoc. in 2007, and is now serving a fourth term as president of the Twin Lakes Home Builders Association.
